The approach and dedication of both Lawrence and Jazmine cannot be over emphasised. Previous drillers have failed to locate a water source blaming the green sand and ground strata unworkable. Lawrence was confident and enthusiastic, successful in reading the progress, establishing a feed well at 60metres, after working on occasions late into the night. Successful borehole secures safe water supply for cattle and home.
A farm in Somerset required a safe and reliable water borehole to aid the health of their animals. Geologic Coreholes successfully delivered this requirement to their farmland within the specified time frame and at a price that looked after the client’s budgeting.
On a inherited stretch of land, this family farm, who’s business is to rear calves on the same land of which they also live on. They informed us of how the water in the area that comes from the river is rumoured to not be safe water for their cattle, they collect rain water during the winter and utilise this, however the best solution to a safe and natural water source would be through a water borehole. Geologic Coreholes was chosen to be a part of this project and to produce a working water well for their farm.
By using air mist techniques and DTH Hammers within an ODEX casing system, this took the hole to 70m where the water course was struck. We were able to reach it’s unlicensed limits of 20,000L per day without the water level dropping, this was an extremely successful water borehole.
With a water well achieved in only one day, this left the family extremely pleased.

Geologic Coreholes to the rescue!
A local farmer employed a drilling company to drill a water borehole on his land because he didn’t have any water. After spending a week on his property, the company left and were unable to find the water course in the ground. That’s where Geologic Coreholes came to the rescue.
After only 1 day of drilling, through a tough make up of ground, such as green sands, lead driller Lawrence Curtis found the water course. He made the decision to leave the well as it was over night and return back in the morning to see how much water was being produced and if he needed to drill deeper. The answer was no, the water produced was a very strong flow, so with a final flush allowing the ground time to settle, the water borehole was producing 20,000L per day!
In conclusion to the job, with only 1 day of drilling and going 80m underground, Lawrence was named a “Legend” by an extremely happy client who was led to believe having a water borehole wouldn’t be an option for him.
